EVALUATIONS: Is your dog suitable for daycare? Here at K9to5, we do dog daycare a little differently. Having a smaller daycare allows us to really get to know your dog and give him/her the attention he/she deserves. Our daycare dogs are mainly small to medium breeds. When we accept a large breed dog, it's not because they're good, but because they're awesome! We don't separate the dogs here, so everyone must be able to share the toys, play nicely, and be respectful. Playtime is supervised and safe, and we are able to form a bond with your dog based on trust, friendship, and respect. Your dog's safety and well being is our top priority. If this sounds like your kind of dog daycare, give us a call or stop by. We would love to meet your four-legged friend!"
K9to5 needs to ensure everyone gets along. All new prospective daycare attendees need a temperament evaluation to ensure the safety of all dogs at the daycare. The first step in this evaluation is to fill out and send in your application. The second step is to book a trial day...…..you are required to bring your dog in between 7:00 - 7:30am. This allows your dog to be one of the first in the daycare which is less intimidating on their first day. If all goes well your dog will be welcome back. If it doesn't, we'll separate your dog from the others and call to see if you would like to pick them up early. No bullying, toy possessive behaviour, panickers, constant barking, or dogs with any aggressive history will be tolerated. If your dog inflicts injury with intent (that means it wasn't an accident) you will be called, and your dog will be asked not to return to daycare. If you have questions or concerns about your dog and aren't sure if they are a fit, please call and have a chat with us. Daycare Rules and Regulations: The purpose of K9to5 Dog Daycare is to provide a fun, safe, stimulating, and low stress social environment for dogs during the day. To ensure the health and safety of your pet and of our other guests we require all of our clients to comply with the following rules. Age: We accept dogs and puppies of all ages. Puppies should be at least 10 weeks old and on a vaccination program. Puppies and shelter dogs must be in the home for at least two weeks prior to coming to daycare. Sex: All dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered. Shots: All dogs must have all vaccinations up to date. Owners must submit written proof of all vaccinations including Kennel Cough and Revolution. Health: If your dog is not feeling well please do not bring them to daycare (diarrhea, vomiting, limping, coughing, ear or eye infections, etc). All dogs at daycare must be in good health so as not to endanger themselves or other dogs. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable disease in the past 10 days will require a note from the veterinarian to be readmitted to daycare. Dogs who have recovered and have been well for at least 10 days may return to daycare without a veterinary note. In case of serious illness or injury: If we believe your dog requires immediate veterinary attention you will be contacted at the numbers provided on your application. Your dog will then be transported to the nearest available veterinarian for treatment. The cost of treatment will be charged to your account. These charges must be paid in full by you at the time you pick up your dog. Behaviour: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not toy protective. Owners certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any person or dog. If you have a concern about your dog's potential behaviour you are required to disclose this concern to our staff at the time of your application. Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and the health and safety of our staff and all animals in our care is our primary concern. Sleep Yes, your dog will be allowed to sleep at daycare. A well exercised, properly socially stimulated, and unstressed dog will sleep. Dogs are not separated or confined to kennels, but nap time happens and you might be surprised to hear that it happens for everyone all at the same time. The pack has put themselves on a pretty good schedule and they all lie down and sleep together. K9To5 Dog Daycare & Grooming reserves the right to refuse any dog for any reason at any time! |
